Applied Learning Experience Between DeKalb Medical and Georgia Perimeter College
Earn an Associate of Science degree in Radiologic Technology through a Georgia Perimeter College program offered in collaboration with DeKalb Medical School of Radiologic Technology.
GPC offers the general education courses and DeKalb Medical offers the clinical courses for the associate degree. Students who earn an AS Degree in Radiologic Technology will be eligible to sit for the national American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) exam. Upon passing the exam, graduates will become registered radiologic technologists (radiographers) R.T.(R).
Georgia Perimeter College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools’ Commission on Colleges to award associate and bachelor’s degrees. The DeKalb Medical School of Radiologic Technology is not accredited by the Commission on Colleges and the accreditation of Georgia Perimeter College does not extend to or include the DeKalb Medical School of Radiologic Technology or its students. Although Georgia Perimeter College accepts certain course work in transfer toward a credential from the DeKalb Medical School of Radiologic Technology or collaborates in other ways for generation of course credits or program credentials, other colleges and universities may or may not accept this work in transfer, even if it appears on a transcript from Georgia Perimeter College. This decision is made by the institution subsequently considering the possibility of accepting such credits.
